4 Days Gorilla Trek in Kahuzi Biega, Like mountain gorillas, lowland gorillas also tracked in the Democratic republic of Congo. Day 1: Transfer to Bukavu- Democratic Republic Congo.
You will be picked up from Kigali Hotel/Lodge by our safari guide, gets you briefed about the tour. And after, he will drive you towards the southwestern part of Rwanda passing through the rolling hills and gorgeous scenery to Changugu Rwanda- Congo border. However, before arriving at the border, you will first visit the genocide site in Butare. And also visit the National Museum of Rwanda here, visit also the King’s palace if time allows. After lunch, continue with your drive to Bukavu with a beautiful view all through with a clear view of Lake Kivu Rwanda’s freshest water body and the sixth largest lake in Africa. The guide will help you to finalize with the border crossing requirement and finally to Congo, arrive in the late evening for relaxation, dinner and an overnight at

Day 3: Lowland Gorilla tracking in Kahuzi Biega
After an early breakfast, the guide drive you to the briefing headquarters to receive information about the low- land gorilla tracking. And also gets you allocated to the ranger guide and the gorilla family. After, the ranger guide will lead you to deep into the forest to begin the search of these huge giants. They are bigger in size than its counterparts the mountain gorillas and the ever reordered bigger silver back was from the low land gorilla sub species.
Many gorilla trackers to Congo prefer tracking these apes as it’s the only park in Africa where these species of gorillas are habituated. The time taken to meet these apes is unpredictable since they live in the wild, they move freely in their natural habitat, so a reasonable degree of fitness is highly needed. 0nce they are met you will forget all the troubles you have gone through and utilize the one hour you are allowed to stay with the gorillas, observe their behaviors as well as taking as many photos as you can.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali city tour and departure

If your departure flight is in the late evening, the guide takes you for a Kigali city tour. And visit some of the interesting places in Kigali like the genocide memorial site, hand craft shops and market places. Do the last shopping and later you will be connected to the Kigali international airport to catch up with your departure flight back if scheduled on this day.
