    Lake Mburo national park is known as the most easiest to reach Uganda national park and the closest park to the capital city Kampala and its largest city, it’s just a drive of 3-4 hours from capital city Kampala. The park was recognized in 1983, and it’s the only place in Uganda to see the Impalas and it’s from which Uganda’s capital and largest city Kampala was named because of the very many impala that existed. The park houses very many species of wildlife some of which can’t be seen elsewhere in the world. The most common are zebras, impalas, buffalos, topis, elands, leopards, hyenas, jackals bushbuck, sitatunga, common duiker, klipspringer, oribi, Defassa waterbuck and Bohor reed buck slender mongoose and secretive bush rat, Burchell’s zebra which only live here and in kidepo valley national park.

    Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

    You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe after breakfast at 07:30am and driven to the South western part of Uganda; the drive takes about 3-4 hours to the park. You will stop at the equator crossing for photography and informative talks and then after continue to Lake Mburo national park a home to a wide variety of wildlife species; you will also have a chance to see the long horned Akole cattle on your way to the park, Arrive in time at the lodge for lunch. After, you will go on the lake Mburo and enjoy a 2 hours boat cruise on the Lake. The boat is rewarding with sights to very many species of wildlife including schools of hippos and crocodiles just meters from the boat while buffaloes and elephants can be seen along the shoreline plus many species of birds such as the fish eagle and kingfisher, pelicans, and a luck visitor can spot the rare shoebill stork.     Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala

    This tour will take you to Ngamba island chimpanzee sanctuary a home to orphanage chimps, you will have a chance to participate in the feeding process and also enjoy a nature walk.

    Detailed of the tour

    Day 1: Our safari guide will pick you at any agreed upon point and drive you to Nakiwogo where you will get a boat or a ferry to Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary. You will depart from as early as 8am. It’s a magical cruise on the Lake Victoria, the second fresh water lake. You will arrive in time at Ngamba for checking into your lodge, you will embark on chimp viewing as they feed at 11:00am and at 2:30 respectively. You will watch the chimps feeding; you will even have a chance to participate in feeding them.  It’s a breathtaking moment as you watch them jump from fruitful tree as they grab food. After experience get relaxed at the sanctuary and have lunch and in the evening, you will go and enjoy a sun set boat cruise on the lake and explore the lakes interior far from the main land presenting a complete serene environment.     Day 2: Nature walk or participate in care giving and transfers to Kampala

    Wake up early for breakfast and then after you will enjoy a nature walk at the island for a chance to watch different flora, fauna and birds, or if not you can participate in the caring for the Chimpanzees. The care giving involves the food preparation for chimpanzees. After the activity, you will retreat to the boat and transfer back to the main land where you will meet your driver who will drive you to your lodge or at the airport for your departure transfer.

    For those interested in chimpanzee tracking, kibale forest national park is the best place to go. The park is a home to over 13 species of primates other species of primates that inhabit the park include the black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, civet monkeys, grey checked monkey, red tailed monkeys the list is endless. The park is also a home to many species of birds and plants; it’s located in the southern part of Uganda just about 4-5 hours’ drive from the capital city Kampala

    Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale forest national park

    Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met and greeted by our company safari guide/ driver who will brief you about the safari and later he will drive you to the south western part of the park finally tom Kibale forest national park a home to over 13 species of primates coupled with the chimpanzee the closest relative of man. The drive will take you through Fort Portal via Mityana Mubende with fantastic views of tea/banana plantations along the road sides and many people’s homestead. The lush rolling hills of this region provide good “photo opportunities. Have lunch in fort-portal and later proceed to the park for relaxation. Later in the evening if time allows go for a community walk and meet the local people in (Fort Portal) the people in this town are locally famous for weaving and basketry making, and we can spend some time briefly to examine some of this local art.     Day 2: Chimp tracking and Bigodi nature walk

    This morning after an early breakfast, our safari guide will take you to the ranger station before 8:00am to receive a short briefing about the all process of chimp tracking.  After, you will follow the ranger guide deep into the forest to begin the search of chimp. These delightful apes more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are superb to watch as they play on tree branches or fruitful trees.  The time taken during the search of chimps is unpredictable sine meeting them depends on where they last spent their night from so, a sturdy pair of walking shoes/boots is needed as well as packed water. Only one hour is allowed with them once they are met, take as many photos and videos with them as well as learning their behaviors. You will meet many other primate species during the search of chimps like the black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, civet monkeys, red colobus monkeys among many others.  After this memorable experience with the chimps , Retire back to the lodge for lunch, and later  go for a guided walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary  for more chance to see species of primates and birds like the shining blue kingfisher, blue Throated Roller, see various species of trees butterflies among many others.     Day 3: Departure

    Our safari guide will pick you at the airport or at any agreed upon point and drive you to the eastern part of Uganda, the drive from the Kampala to the park takes about 5-6 hours passing through Luweero and Nakasongola. However before arriving at Murchison falls national park, you can first blanch off to Ziwa rhino sanctuary and track the white rhino. Ziwa rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can track the rhinos in their natural habitat. (Rhino tracking is at $45/ per person).     Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park

However before arriving at Murchison falls national park, you can first blanch off to Ziwa rhino sanctuary and track the white rhino.     Wake up early for breakfast and hit the road by 7:0am to kibale forest national park which is located in the southwestern part of Uganda. The transfer takes about 6-7 hours with a scenic drive all through.  Enjoy lunch en-route in Fort Portal before arriving at the park. Kibale forest national park inhabit over 13 species of primates most tracked is the chimpanzee the closest relative of man sharing almost 98% of human genes. Other primates include the black and white colobus monkey, baboons, civet monkey, grey checked manga bay, etc. The park also house mammal species including elephant, buffaloes, giant forest hog, and many species of bird and tree.     Day 5: Chimp tracking and Bigodi nature walk

    This morning after an early breakfast, our safari guide will take you to the ranger station before 8:00am to receive a short briefing about the all process of chimp tracking.  After, you will follow the ranger guide deep into the forest to begin the search of chimp. These delightful apes more closely related to humans than to any other living creature, are superb to watch as they play on tree branches or fruitful trees.  The time taken during the search of chimps is unpredictable sine meeting them depends on where they last spent their night from so, a sturdy pair of walking shoes/boots is needed as well as packed water. Only one hour is allowed with them once they are met, take as many photos and videos with them as well as learning their behaviors.     You will be picked at any agreed upon point by our safari guide/driver who will take you to the south western part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home to the few remaining endangered mountain gorillas. The journey from Kampala to the park takes about 7-9 hours’ drive however, with stopovers at any interesting point like at the equator crossing for informative talks, snacks and photography, handcraft shops and also at Mbarara for an hour lunch break. After, we will continue with the drive through the gorgeous scenery sometimes referred to as the ‘’Switzerland of Africa’’ this is a great sight as you continue with the drive to the park. Depending on where you booked for your accommodation you will arrive at the park in the evening either at Ruhija sector or Buhoma sector of the park. Arrive in time at the lodge for relaxation and later have lunch, in the late afternoon visit the batwa community and interact with them.  Dinner and an overnight Acadia cottages/ Bunyonyi overland camp

    Day 8: Canoe ride on the lake and Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

    Wake up early and enjoy a boat ride on the lake Bunyonyi and explore the nearby islands on the lake for an opportunity to have a glance on a scenic view of the well terraced hills around the lake as well as several species of birds that reside and feed on the lake. After with packed lunch, you will be driven to Lake Mburo national park, arrive in the evening. Check into your pre-booked accommodation for relaxation, Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo rest camp, Arcadia cottages / Mantana lodge/ Mihingo safari lodge

    Day 9: Game drive and departure

    Wake up early for a cup of tea or coffee and later embark on a game drive to the park to catch up with early risen that rush out from their hide-outs, games to come across include spotted hyena, lion elephant, zebra, impala, buffaloes, giraffe, warthogs, giant forest hogs, among many others after come back to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch. After lunch, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the lake for a chance to view various species of animals that live and feed on the lake including schools of hippos and crocodile, elephants and buffaloes as well as many species of birds will all be seen along the shoreline. Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight stay at Rwonyo rest camp, Arcadia cottages / Mantana lodge/ Mihingo safari lodge

    Day 10: depart to Kampala-city tour

    Wake up early for breakfast and then after you will be driven back to Kampala with stop over at the equator for informative talks and photography, proceed to kampala where you will have your lunch from, and later enjoy a short city tour, visit places like national museum, kasubi Tombs, Bahai temple, Namugongo shrine among many others if time allows dinner and an overnight at Cassia lodge, Boma lodge, Hotel Africana, Serena hotel

    Day 11: departure

    This morning after breakfast at the lodge, you can do your last shopping around the city and later depending on your departure flight; our safari guide/ drive will drive you to the Entebbe international airport and meet your departure flight back home.
