This safari will begin and end in Kampala, it will take you to Murchison falls national park Uganda’s largest and bio-diversified park with a wide variety of animal species, here you will do game drive and also enjoy a launch cruise on the Nile River. From here you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park in the south western part of Uganda here you will track the chimps and also enjoy a boat cruises on the Kazinga Channel.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park
Our safari guide will pick you at the airport or at any agreed upon point and drive you to the eastern part of Uganda, the drive from the Kampala to the park takes about 5-6 hours passing through Luweero and Nakasongola. However before arriving at Murchison falls national park, you can first blanch off to Ziwa rhino sanctuary and track the white rhino. Ziwa rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can track the rhinos in their natural habitat. (Rhino tracking is at $45/ per person). From here have lunch at Amuka safari Lodge and then after lunch you will proceed to the park embark on a ferry crossing up to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba game lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Bwana Tembo safari Lodge, Budongo Eco lodge, Red Chill rest camp Fort Murchison lodge
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise at the Nile River
A morning breakfast will be followed with a transfer to the northern part of the park to catch up with early risen that rush from their hide outs, predators to see include lion, leopard, hyena, heart beast, other games expects to see include giraffe, elephant, Uganda Kob, Oribi, bush, warthogs among many others alongside many variety of Savannah and woodland birds. After, retreat to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch.
After lunch, you will be taken to the Nile river and enjoy a 2-3 hours boat Cruise which exposes you to more different species of wildlife that live and feed on water, games expects to see include Hippos and Crocodiles, buffaloes and elephants can be seen along the shoreline as well as different species of birds such as kingfishers and bee-eaters dashing, lucky visitors can spot the rare shoebills. retire to the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba game lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Bwana Tembo safari Lodge, Budongo Eco lodge, Red Chill rest camp Fort Murchison lodge
Day 3 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Wake up early for breast and then after embark on a long drive to Queen Elizabeth national park in the south western part of Uganda. You will have en-route lunch with very many attractive views to the spectacular Rwenzori Mountains the third tallest mountain in Africa. Arrive at the park in the evening for relaxation dinner and an overnight stay at. Mweya safari Lodge Katara Lodge/ Kyambura game Lodge/ Hippo Hill Lodge, Simba Safari Camp.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and launch cruise
After breakfast, get briefed about chimp tracking and later follow the ranger guide to the Kyambura gorge and begin the search of our closest relatives the chimps which shares almost 98% of human genes than any other creature on earth. Chimps are fabulous fun to see when playing in fruitful trees/tree blanches. Chimp tracking takes about 2-6 hours since meeting them depends on where they last spent their night from. From here return back to the lodge for lunch and later enjoy a 2 hour’s launch cruise on the Kazinga channel which offers a chance to spot various species of animals including schools of hippos and crocodiles swimming just a few meters from the boat, whereas elephants and buffaloes are expected to be seen along the shoreline plus many species of birds such as the king fisher, herons, blue oraco and the shoebill for the lucky visitors. After, drive back to the lodge to for relaxation, Dinner and an overnight at atLuxury: Mweya Safari Lodge, Katara Lodge, and Kyambura Game Lodge/Mid A range: Ihamba Lake Side Safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge/Budget: Hippo H-ill Lodge, Simba Lodge
Day 5: Departure
Wake up for a hearty breakfast, after our safari guide will drive you back to Kampala, with stopover at any interesting places along the way including at the equator crossing for photography and snacks and later you will be driven back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport to meet your departure flight back home.
