Since gorillas are wild animals, they sometimes feel threatened so, the specific number of people allowed to visit the gorillas per gorilla family is 8 people per day.

Each gorilla family is guided by an armed ranger guide. Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable national park has 18 gorilla families and 1 gorilla family in Mgahinga gorilla forest national park which means Uganda only over 152 people trek the gorilla per day in Uganda.

While Rwanda’s Volcanoes national park has 12 habituated gorilla families available to be trekked meaning that 96 people trek Rwanda’s gorilla per day.
