Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:
Location. This Park is part of Bwindi impenetrable forest being situated in the South western part of Uganda on Uganda’s border with Democratic Republic of Congo. Nearing the oldest National Park in Africa known as Virunga National Park formerly called Albert National Park found in the Eastern part of Democratic Republic of Congo, Bwindi is also situated on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley.
Mubare Gorilla Family: This is the oldest gorilla family in Bwindi with 9 members. Including 1 silverback, 3 adult females, 2 juveniles, and 3 infants.
Habinyanja Gorilla Family: This family has 17 members, including 2 silverbacks, 5 adult females, 2 sub-adults, 6 juveniles, and 2 infants.
Rushegura Gorilla Family: This family has 19 members, including 1 silverback, 6 adult females, 2 sub-adults, 6 juveniles, and 4 infants.
Bitukura Gorilla Family: This family has 14 members, including 4 silverbacks. 4 adult females, 2 juveniles, and 4 infants.
Nkuringo Gorilla Family: This family has 12 members. Including 1 silverback, 4 adult females, 2 sub-adults, 2 juveniles, and 3 infants.
Kahungye Gorilla Family: This family has 13 members, including 3 silverbacks, 3 adult females, 2 sub-adults, 2 juveniles, and 3 infants.
Bweza Gorilla Family: This family has 9 members, including 1 silverback, 3 adult females, 2 sub-adults, and 3 infants.
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park:
This is another exciting Park to go for adventure while in Uganda. Among the two known Gorilla hosting destinations in Uganda with Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
These two amazing destinations have done a great role as far as boosting Uganda’s tourism. Through exposing it to the World as one of the best destinations to go. Since listed among the great of top five National Parks. Which provide habitat to the species of Gorillas in the World.
